About Us
Our mission at Ironwood Axe Throwing is to give all guests the traditional axe throwing experience by providing an entertaining environment and outstanding customer service.
Ironwood Axe Throwing was founded by Brian Burrows in the fall of 2019. Brian is on the USA Shooting Team and brought home a bronze medal at the 2021 Olympics in Tokyo. He likes to participate in other outdoor sports like archery and fishing. Along those same lines, axe throwing seemed like the perfect avenue to explore next. His brother, Jon Burrows, has joined him as a co-owner. They've gone from throwing axes at their mom's trees 25 years ago (sorry Ms. Burrows), to opening their first Ironwood Axe Throwing location in Denton, TX.
